Skyjob is looking for a Ramp Safety Coordinator (fulltime) for one of their clients at Schiphol Airport.

In this new function as Ramp Safety Coordinator you will be responsible for auditing team member performance and processes to ensure safe behaviours and outcomes. This role partners with the operation teams to develop and drive a health & safety culture, including conducting audits, reporting on findings, coaching team members, analysing trends, and improving behaviours and processes. This role is part of the Safety and Training team. A full training on the job and specifics will be provided.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Skills and knowledge evaluate compliance on the ramp (perform audit of ramp operations) & take corrective actions.

Guide and ensure safe operations on the ramp.

Coach the drivers on the ramp when immediate correction is required.

Complete flight audits which are expected to be conducted outside of the vehicle and proactive intervention should be exercised anytime an actual or potential risk arises.

Conduct other health & safety audits.

Complete reports and send updates immediately following the shift including date, supervisor on duty, number of audits completed, including amount passed/failed, etc.

Ensure compliance with company, airport, civil aviation, security, and local regulatory standards and provide guidance and clarification on these regulations.

Work with operations team to deliver effective safety briefings and proactive safety communication programs.

Support safety training initiatives.

Safely operate company vehicles according to all policies, including pre-shift inspections and end of shift clean out.

Identify areas for improvement and participate in the development of action plans to improve performance.


Minimum MBO4 level

Previous experience as auditor or controlling functions.

Valid driving license

VGB is required

Excellent knowledge of English & Dutch language

Knowledge of Airport safety regulations is a plus

Note: This function is mainly during day-time and week-days, but candidate should be flexible and willing to work occasionally evenings/nights or weekends, when required to meet seasonal, event and/or visitor demands.
